Art Therapy

Art Therapy is a mental health profession that utilises a number of different creative modalities and processes within a therapeutic relationship in order to improve the mental, physical and emotional well-being of the client. It gives individuals a confidential space to express feelings that may be difficult to verbalise, utilise imagination and creativity to problem solve and explore both their internal and external worlds.

No artistic skill or ability is required to participate in an Art Therapy session as it is primarily about exploration and expression. If you can create, then you are creative.

Art Therapy can assist those living with:

  • Grief and loss

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Low self-esteem

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Behavioural issues

  • A trauma background
